Our History

The Story of Boulder Smiles

Boulder Smiles found its home in a mid-century gem designed by architect Roger Easton in 1964. The building won a national award and later received a certificate of merit from the City of Boulder — a plaque still welcomes patients in our entryway today.

From the beginning, I named the practice boulder smiles to emphasize beauty and confidence. Dentistry has changed dramatically since then — moving from gold and amalgam to bonded composites and porcelain — but one principle has never changed here: dentistry is about people, not just teeth.

Why 5 Stars? Dr. Caleb Moore! I've been going to Boulder Smiles for 5 years. All routine stuff, excellently performed by a fabulous staff. Then, I needed an emergency tooth extraction. I freaked! I'm a Boomer (67); biggest procedure I've ever needed. Dr. Moore and assistant, Alena, were there for me. Every step of the way was explained in a gentle manner, the procedure was comfortable in ways I never imagined, and they managed my anxiety really well.
